Jill Schutte

Pilates Instructor

Jill is dedicated to helping clients move pain-free, improve their quality of life, reach their fitness goals, and have fun while taking care of their bodies.

She discovered Pilates after a debilitating back injury left her unable to move without tremendous pain. A doctor recommended Pilates, through which she was able to build core stability, increase strength and flexibility, and finally enjoy exercising without pain. Jill was passionate about understanding how Pilates and functional movement heal the body, so she pursued Pilates training. She is fully certified through STOTT Pilates, which builds on the essence and principles of the late Joseph Pilates’ work by incorporating modern knowledge about the body.

As a lifelong learner, Jill has continued her studies including: Pilates for Injuries and Special Populations, Functional Anatomy, Fascial Foundations Training, and is certified as a Fascial Movement Instructor through Merrithew. She is also certified in Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST), a gentle manual therapy that improves the mobility of your nerves and the flexibility of your muscles and fascia. FST is one of the quickest, most effective, and pleasant methods to eliminate pain, restore function, and feel better in activities of life and sport.

As a teacher, Jill strives to make Pilates relevant and beneficial to clients of any age and ability. Through teaching, she has witnessed the beneficial effects of functional, mindful movement on posture, mobility and well-being and looks forward to sharing your journey with you.
